This is an armless Cesca side chair, model 51C, originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928. The listed price includes one 51C chair, and we have seven available for individual purchase. These examples were manufactured by Knoll in 2019. The design features a tubular chromed-steel cantilever base, and has a molded plywood seat and back. Their upholstery is currently done in a contrasting blue and black combination.
Each chair measures 23.5 inches deep, 18.5 inches wide, and 31.5 inches high. They have a seat height of 17.75 inches. The chromed-steel cantilever bases are in very good condition with no pitting. The upholstery is also in excellent condition, with very slight fading. The edges of the chairs are lightly worn. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition with light wear. Please see photos.
